TCS Scaling Up Units Worldwide
Tata Consultancy Services BPO, the back-office arm of TCS, recently released a statement at its New Delhi centre quoting it will be scaling up its units in India, the US and the Philippines to serve its clients better across the various geographies.
"We are investing in scaling up our centres in Michigan (US), Manila (Philippines) as well as Tier-II centres in India like Kolkata and Pune," TCS Vice-President Global Head (BPO Services) Abid Ali Neemuchwala told the media
The scaling of units was announced just after the plan to launch a 2,000 employee based BPO centre in Ahmedabad, INDIA. This move comes across as a major blow to the Philippines BPO sector as the recent bout of scaling will curb the BPO boom in the country.
Trade pundits are astonished by the scaling and expansion plans of the company in the times of speculations astride that recession may hit again.
